Amid the topsy-turvy turmoil that is life right now, I
managed to snatch enough focus to finish a short story this morning.
When you feel like you’re not in control of your own world,
it’s quite therapeutic to take it out on someone else’s (without the guilt of
the other person actually being real). So I created a character
who had already lost her parents, leaving her with no other family. Then I had her boyfriend killed in a war-zone.
I feel better now.
Let's hope karma doesn't extend to fiction.
Tomorrow, I might make her win Lotto - just in case she’s real in some other
dimension. Eeek!
